Ediţia 2012 a fost organizată sub patronajul ştiinţific al Colegiului Europen de Ştiinţa Sportului şi s-a realizat în parteneriat cu Institutul Naţional pentru cercetare în Sport Bucureşti, Facutatea de Educaţie Fizică şi Sport, Şcoala doctorală Universitatea "Transilvania" Braşov şi Scocietatea Şiinţei, Excelenţei umane şi Sportului universitar .

În competiţie s-au înscris 16 doctoranzi cu vârsta sub 35 de ani din trei şcoli doctorale:Universitatea din Piteşti, Universitatea Transilvania Braşov şi UNEFS Bucureşti.S-au susţinut 13 proiecte şi clasamentul este următorul:

Locul II PUNI ALEXANDRU, U.N.E.F.S. Bucureşti

Locul III. LAMBU ELENA, U.N.E.F.S. Bucureşti

Premiul special al CCPU şi Şcoala doctorală „Transilvania” Braşov - ALEXANDRU NICOLETA, UNEFS Bucureşti

The 2012 edition of the YDSO was organized under the scientific patronage of European College of Sport Science and was achieved in partnership with the National Institute for Sport Research, Bucharest, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport and The Doctoral School of “Transilvania” University, Brasov and The Society of Science, Human Excellence and University Sport.

In this competition there were registered 16 doctoral students under 35 years from three doctoral schools: university of Pitesti, “Transilvania” University of Brasov and National University of Physical Education and Sport, Bucharest. There were performed 13 research projects and the order was the following:

First place - BOTEZATU CRISTINA – University of Pitesti

Second place - PUNI ALEXANDRU – N.U.P.E.S., Bucharest

Third place - LAMBU ELENA - N.U.P.E.S., Bucharest

Special award of RCHP and the Doctoral School of “Transilvania” University, Brasov - ALEXANDRU NICOLETA - N.U.P.E.S., Bucharest
